Frequently asked questions
The 12 questions people ask most about LamportPay — fees, countries, wallet safety, verification and the roadmap. Every answer here is the same one Lammy, our assistant, gives in chat.
LamportPay follows a 12-phase plan. Done: business & architecture (Phase 0), Web3 foundation (Phase 1), and the Stables sandbox flow with fees and audit trail (Phase 2). Current: Phase 3 — the revenue engine (pricing, fee ledger, admin controls). Next: controlled production go-live (Phase 4), more tokens via Jupiter (Phase 5), compliance operations, a full admin dashboard, multi-provider fiat, external security audit, and public launch. Every phase passes testing, security review and approval before moving on.
Your Solana wallet is your identity. Connecting it and signing one plain-text message (never a transaction, never moving funds) signs you in — no password needed. The same wallet always returns to the same account, on any device. Email + password stays available as a fallback. Your wallet proves *who* you are; verification (KYC) is separate and confirmed only by our partner Stables.
Every payment moves forward only through clear states — from quote to wallet approval, then through the payout partner's transfer stages until Completed. Status reaches us three ways: instant webhooks, live checks while you watch the page, and a background reconciliation job every few minutes — so nothing gets stuck silently. If a payout fails or is returned, it becomes an operations case that the team handles manually (refund or return), never a silent loss. Final states like Completed or Failed can only be set by the payout partner's own report — not by anyone at LamportPay.
Security is built in layers: non-custodial design (we never hold funds), server-side enforcement of sandbox/live mode, rate limiting on money-moving routes, an append-only admin audit log, and signed webhooks only. Before launch, LamportPay passes a pre-live security checklist, a full test matrix and an external audit (Phase 10). Compliance features like the Travel Rule and compliance holds are part of the payment design itself.
Send exactly the quoted amount from your wallet. If a different amount arrives, the deposit doesn't match the transfer and is flagged for manual review by the operations team — it is not lost, but it needs the team to resolve it. Always double-check the amount in your wallet before approving.
8 simple steps:
1. Connect your Solana wallet
2. Choose amount and destination country
3. See a live quote
4. Enter and check bank details
5. Verify identity (only first time, on our partner's secure page)
6. Review everything
7. Approve in your wallet
8. Track processing until complete
SANDBOX: test-network assets and the payout partner's test environment. Real bank payouts and production identity verification are DISABLED pending production approval.
LamportPay charges one fee: 2% of the total you send, taken out of it — no hidden charges.
Example: send 150 USDC → 3 USDC LamportPay fee → 147 USDC goes to the payout partner.
Separately shown in your quote: the payout partner's fee (Stables), any Jupiter swap cost if paying in SOL, and a tiny Solana network fee.
Available in sandbox: United States, United Kingdom, India and Philippines.
Planned: Nigeria and Pakistan.
Bank options depend on the country and currency, and our payout partner confirms final availability. Real bank payouts start only after production approval.
Yes. LamportPay is non-custodial — your funds and keys stay in your own wallet and we never hold balances.
Sign-in is a plain-text message signature, never a payment. Never share your seed phrase or private key with anyone, including us.
Yes, once. Verification runs on our licensed partner Stables' secure hosted page. LamportPay only stores a link and a status — never your documents. After your first completed payment your wallet stays verified. In the sandbox, verification is simulated.
Not yet. LamportPay currently runs in sandbox on Solana devnet: quotes are real, but no real money moves and bank payouts are simulated. Live bank payouts launch after production approval — see our Roadmap page.
Pay with USDC on Solana, or with SOL — Jupiter gives a live quote and converts SOL to USDC in the same flow. More cryptocurrencies and chains are planned on the roadmap.
- Stables — licensed payout & verification partner (sandbox)
- Jupiter — Solana swap quotes
- Hyperliquid — integration in progress
- Circle, Tether, Yellow Card — planned / in discussion, not confirmed
See the Partners page for details.
The crypto side settles in seconds on Solana. Bank delivery depends on the country and bank — the quote shows an estimate. In the sandbox, payouts are simulated.
The minimum is 15 USDC per payment. In the sandbox the maximum is 5,000 USDC; in production the payout partner's limits apply.
LamportPay earns a single 2% fee on each payment. A B2B payout API for businesses and remittance partners is planned; we don't offer public APIs today.
LamportPay (Lamport Pay Ltd) is led by Zoaib Ali (Founder & CEO) and Ghazanfar Abbas (CTO & Lead Developer), with advisors and community team. Meet everyone on the Our people page.
