LamportPay Whitepaper
Crypto in. Local money out.
Non-custodial payment architecture, the quote-first journey, transparent costs and the path from sandbox validation to bank payouts.
SANDBOX · SANDBOX
SANDBOX: test-network assets and the payout partner's test environment. Real bank payouts and production identity verification are DISABLED pending production approval.
1. Executive summary
LamportPay is a non-custodial crypto-to-bank payment interface built around Solana and USDC settlement. Users keep control of their wallet; LamportPay records payment activity without holding funds, private keys or customer balances. Stables is the payout infrastructure provider, and Jupiter supplies the Solana conversion route when needed. A second route, for major digital assets through Hyperliquid liquidity, is in progress, and a regional network of payout partners is planned corridor by corridor. The current experience is a sandbox demonstration, not a live bank-payout service.
2. Problem
Crypto wallets and local banking systems use different payment rails. A sender needs to understand the conversion, recipient details, verification requirements and total costs before authorizing a payment. Unclear fees and disconnected status updates make that journey difficult to assess. Today's options each add a compromise: P2P marketplaces put a counterparty in the middle of the trade, exchanges add custody, trading and withdrawal steps, and traditional remittance services hold funds and often price with wide rates.
3. Solution
LamportPay brings the quote, checked bank details, hosted verification, wallet approval and payment tracking into one journey. Payouts are designed for the sender's own bank account or a beneficiary's bank account, with a verified sender required in either case. Mobile-wallet, card and cash payouts are not offered.
4. Product positioning
LamportPay provides the payment interface and orchestration layer. It is not a bank and does not maintain customer balances or control wallet keys. This technical model does not establish a regulatory exemption: production availability depends on applicable legal requirements, payout coverage and provider approval.
5. Core flow
- Connect. Connect your Solana wallet and sign a plain-text message to sign in. This is not a payment transaction.
- Select. Choose your amount, destination country and payout currency. USDC is the enabled settlement currency; SOL routing is available when supported by your wallet.
- Quote. See the estimated local-currency amount, LamportPay fee and separate partner costs before identity verification. Quotes expire and may need refreshing.
- Verify (KYC). Complete identity verification (KYC) on Stables’ hosted page. LamportPay keeps only the verification link and status—never your identity documents. Verified once, your wallet skips this step on later payments.
- Review. Bank details are checked with Stables. Review the recipient, amount, LamportPay fee and partner costs before you approve.
- Sign. Approve in your wallet. In the sandbox build, you sign a test-network memo transaction that moves no funds—not a mainnet deposit or swap.
- Processing. The app simulates a sandbox deposit and follows the transfer status reported by Stables. Some sandbox destinations can remain processing.
- Complete. When Stables reports completion, the timeline and receipt update. A sandbox receipt is a demonstration record, not evidence of a real bank payout.
6. Technology architecture
7. AI layer
The assistant can explain the payment journey and costs. It is an informational layer, not a payment authority: it cannot sign transactions, approve verification, perform compliance checks or override provider decisions. Users authorize payments in their wallet.
8. Liquidity layer
USDC payments do not require a swap. LamportPay selects a conversion route from the enabled asset and its network:
- Solana / SPL assets → Jupiter → USDC. Jupiter supplies the conversion quote, including route costs and price impact. LIVE · read-only market quotes are available in the sandbox build; mainnet swap execution is DISABLED.
- Major digital assets → Hyperliquid → USDC. IN PROGRESS. This route is being built for deeper liquidity on assets such as BTC and ETH; it is not enabled for deposits.
Additional asset intake requires an explicit allowlist and a validated conversion route, not just a wallet balance.
9. Settlement partner layer
Stables is the sole payout infrastructure provider shown for the current flow (SANDBOX/SIMULATED). In the production design, a verified sender authorizes a transfer to the single-use deposit address returned by Stables for that payment. LamportPay never holds those funds. Stables reports the bank-payout outcome; the sandbox build instead simulates the deposit and follows sandbox status updates. Real bank payouts remain DISABLED.
10. Supported assets
USDC on Solana is the enabled settlement currency. The model includes USDT on Solana, but USDT payments are currently DISABLED. SOL routing is available where supported by the wallet; the sandbox build does not execute the conversion or move payment funds. Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT and other major-asset routes are IN PROGRESS through the Hyperliquid route and are not accepted deposits; trading, deposits and withdrawals through Hyperliquid remain DISABLED.
11. Supported countries and currencies
The app offers configured destination countries and fills the payout currency from a country reference table. That reference is not a promise of coverage: Stables quotes determine whether a country/currency pair is available, and Stables validates the required bank fields. The sandbox build restricts the country picker to the destinations the Stables sandbox completes: the United States (USD), the United Kingdom (GBP), India (INR) and the Philippines (PHP). Nigeria (NGN) and Pakistan (PKR) are planned. Production coverage is not confirmed. Limits are shown in the payment app and checked before approval.
Beyond the current payout infrastructure, LamportPay plans a network of specialist payout partners, built corridor by corridor across six regions: North America, Europe, Asia, South America, Africa and Oceania. For each corridor the route is chosen on coverage, available liquidity, FX and total conversion cost, and settlement conditions. These regional partners are PLANNED and not yet confirmed.
12. Payment status lifecycle
The eight-step journey is a user-facing progress indicator, not a separate settlement ledger. Before transfer creation, LamportPay records payment setup, verification and quote stages. Once a Stables transfer exists, its status is authoritative and the app follows it without moving a payment backwards.
Signed webhooks are the primary update path. Live status reads and background reconciliation recover missed updates; a temporary provider error preserves the last stored status. Completion requires Stables to report completion, not merely a wallet signature. Some sandbox destinations may remain processing.
Refunds, compliance checks and manual reviews are operations cases, not invented payment states. A sandbox receipt records a demonstration only.
13. Compliance positioning
Verification is performed on Stables' hosted page, not through document collection in LamportPay. The app stores a verification link and status, not identity-document uploads. A verified sender is required before a transfer is created. For an own-account payout, the account-holder name comes from the verified customer record; beneficiary payouts require beneficiary details and a suitable payment purpose. Travel Rule requirements remain attached to the payment. Production verification is DISABLED; the sandbox flow is not evidence of production compliance approval.
14. Business model
LamportPay's approved platform fee is 2% of the total the user sends, taken out of that total once. For a 150 USDC payment, 3 USDC is the LamportPay fee and 147 USDC is allocated to Stables—not 153 USDC leaving the wallet. Partner, swap and network costs remain separate and are disclosed before approval. The payment app displays the fee amount.
- LamportPay fee
- One fee, taken out of the total you send—not an extra conversion fee plus a swap fee. The app shows the fee amount before approval.
- Payout partner fee
- Stables costs are quoted separately. They are not included in LamportPay’s fee.
- Swap & network costs
- Any Jupiter swap costs, price impact and Solana network fees are separate. The sandbox build does not execute mainnet swaps or move payment funds.
Optional minimum and maximum fee bounds are off by default. In production, LamportPay's revenue transfer is separate from the Stables deposit within the user-signed transaction; no additional LamportPay swap fee is charged. The sandbox build collects no real revenue.
Early access: the first 10 people who join from the website's launch popup pay no LamportPay fee. Payout partner and network costs still apply to them.
15. Roadmap
The roadmap is tracked phase by phase. Phases 1–7 are complete; Phase 8 (security review and go-live) is the current focus and the main use of new funding. Later phases are goals, not confirmed partnerships or dates.

16. Risk management
These controls do not guarantee a risk-free service or establish a completed security certification. Production remains disabled until the dedicated security phase (independent audit, penetration testing and hardening), end-to-end validation and operational readiness are complete.
17. Conclusion
LamportPay aims to make wallet-to-bank payments understandable: quote first, disclose costs, verify the sender, authorize in the wallet and track the provider's outcome. The current sandbox demonstrates that design; broader assets, payout coverage and production availability remain subject to validation rather than promises of live service.
